The joint PhD is a process facilitating the scientific cooperation between Tunisia and the foreign countries through promoting the mobility of PhD students.
The PhD student, benefiting from the joint thesis, works under the supervision of two thesis directors who are committed to act as a caretaker.
The skills allocated to the thesis director are exerted jointly by the two thesis directors.
The candidates should compulsorily precede an administrative registration in the two concerned universities.
The convention exempts the PhD student from paying the registration fees in one of the establishments (after presenting a proof of payment of the academic fees in the other university for the concerned year) and specifies the conditions of social security coverage.
