ClusMED International Final Conference

ICT Regulations for e-Transformation in support of Societal Challenges

Information and communications technologies (ICT) and a connected world offer a potentially powerful mechanism for promoting competitiveness, economic growth and social development covering multiple societal challenges. ICT, as main component of innovation, is also a key element to define coherent policies and strategies for the socio-economic development of countries and regions and to promote and implement their cooperation.

In this context the existence of a ICT regulatory framework is a fundamental factor in order to enable the introduction of new advanced services and products to be delivered at the national and international level.

The promotion of European cooperation with Mediterranean countries on the ICT regulatory legal frameworks can improve meaningfully the creation of new social and economic networks and services and opportunities to exchange best practices for both the regions.

This timely high-level international conference, organized in conjunction with the ICT summit ICT4ALL’2015, provides a valuable opportunity to discuss how to foster EU – MED collaboration in the field of ICT regulations in support of societal challenges. This conference will highlight the characteristics and major findings of the MED regulatory framework, benchmarked with European Union. The conference will support exchange of ideas and encourage delegates to engage in thought-provoking topical debate on a reasonable and reliable roadmap towards a 2020 innovation regulatory framework.

This Conference is the closing event of the ClusMED project funded by the European Commission

Yassmine Hammamet

Yassmine Hammamet is a new built suburb providing a large number of luxury hotels that are mostly modern. However, there are nice relaxing walks in the new Marina and the equally impressive Medina complex. The Medina is a new, old-style, village that opened in 2003. It is a living reminder of the old Tunisian and Mediterranean heritage and life; a trip into the past to see how cities and life once were. It offers lots of nice restaurants, shops, cafes, shows and cafe nightlife.

Getting to Hammamet

Yasmine Hammamet is about 70kms or a one-hour drive from 2 international airports (Tunis Carthage and Monastir).

The Host Committee will welcome Conference participants upon arrival at the international airport Tunis Carthage and provide the transfer to the Conference hotel (registration form).

In other cases, the best solution is the taxi-Louage-taxi from Airport to the Yasmine Hotel in Hammamet. In all cases, the price will be from 10 to 18 Euro by person.
