Short biography :Dr. Amine Ben Salem received his Engineering Diploma in Telecommunication in 2009 from the Engineering School of Communication of Tunis (SUP’COM), Tunisia, and his M.Sc. and PhD degrees from SUP’COM in 2010 and 2013 respectively. He has been associated with SUP’COM as Assistant Professor since 2014. He served as the head of Electronics, Physics and Propagation department from 2018 to 2020. He was awarded in April 2014 the best doctoral thesis prize by the “Futur et Ruptures” program supported by Institut Mines Télécom, France. He has published 18 journal papers in the most prestigious journals of OSA, SPIE and IEEE and more than 30 international conference papers. Dr. Amine’s current research focuses on the study of the nonlinear effects in specialty fibers. His core expertise includes fiber optics propagation modeling, linear and nonlinear characterizations of specialty fibers, optical sensing and mode division multiplexing. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
