Curriculum vitea


Rim CHERIF received her engineering degree in Telecommunications from INSAT in 2004, her MSc in telecommunications and PhD in ICT from Sup’Com in 2005 and 2009, respectively. Since 2010, she is assistant professor at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, department of physics. R. Cherif is an active member of the Green and smart communication systems laboratory at Sup’Com where she is conducting research on numerical characterization of highly nonlinear specialty fibers, modelling and experimental investigation of supercontinuum generation, nonlinear effects, optical sensors for all optical new generation networks. She has published 17 journal papers in the most prestigious journals of OSA, SPIE and IEEE, 30 international conference papers and 3 book chapters. In 2009, she founded the OSA and SPIE student chapters in Sup’Com to promote optics and photonics in Tunisia and Africa, and since 2012 she is acting as chapter advisor. In 2011, she was named a member of the education committee of SPIE. She is a member in the executive board of the Tunisian Optical Society, member of the ICO family (international commission of optics), for the period 2012-2015.
