AbstractIn this thesis, we are interested in the energy optimization problem in cooperative systems. We begin by considering a cooperative ARQ system in which two source nodes and a relay node retransmit packets to a destination node. We optimize the energy of the relay node according to the retransmission number and according to the number of packets to be retransmitted in order to maximize the overall throughput efficiency constrained by a maximum average relay energy cost. Then, we are interested in the nodes identification problem in cooperative systems which is classically performed by transmitting signaling bits resulting in a waste of energy and throughput. To solve this problem, we propose an efficient embedded signaling scheme. We consider finally the problem of energy optimization in a cooperative system with interfering channels. We propose an iterative distributed energy-efficient algorithm in which each node announces a price which reflects its loss in terms of utility due to the received interferences and adjusts its energy by taking into account prices of the other nodes.
