Innov'School Networks of Things

Innov’COM Laboratory (SUP’Com Tunisia) is organizing the Innov’School of Network of Things IS-NoT’2018 event in collaboration with its main partner Université Téluq (Montréal). Speakers from research laboratories in the most prestigious North American and European universities and from Industry pioneers in Network of Things technologies are joining us in this special event. The 2018 edition of this school, is co-sponsored by industrials and scheduled for the 28th and 29th of April 2018 at Ramada Plaza Hotel, Gammarth Tunis.
The IS-NoT’2018 event addresses the real opportunity for the Network of Things, it explores groundbreaking Network of Things technologies and solutions that researchers and industrials can nowadays use to increase productivity and bring on new revenue opportunities.
The event will include three main sessions: four talks, two workshops, industrial/poster session, which focus on the latest and most important innovative areas, and highlight the NoT solutions and strategies that will most likely result in thriving success.
Furthermore, IS-NoT’2018 event encourages researchers to present innovative ideas in the poster session. Certifications will be offered to all accepted papers and awards to the three best presented posters.

ISNOT2018 offers pre-arranged transportation to and from Ramada Plaza Hotel, Gammarth

Talk-1 : NoT Prospects, evolution & applications

As Network of Things (NoT) matures and scales up, many of the concerns about the technology, including the performance, scalability and evolution are being addressed by technical innovation. In This track, academics will delve in the inner researches of theoretical foundation, leading projects and applications. A leading discussion about future trends on NoT infrastructure and standardization is scheduled in the end of the track.

Talk-2: Machine Learning

This track will explore one of the most important areas of computer science that refers to the automated detection of intelligent patterns, computational complexity, neural networks… A discussion about the computational complexity of Deep learning and the concepts of convexity and stability will be included.

Talk-3: Healthcare Networked Systems

The goal of this track is to emphasize on intelligent systems and powerful algorithms for a real-time communication to drive patients in advanced research and to process and communicate with biomedical and physical parameters. More advanced and integrated approaches within the scope of the digital transformation of healthcare are also presented in this track in specific applications such as personal healthcare and Real-Time Health Systems (RTHS).

Talk-4: Security in NoT

Security in NoT is challenging because there are so many vulnerabilities to address over a very wide threat surface. This track is focused on security breaches that can occur through the NoT service chain from the source device, to the transport network , the network infrastructure itself, the data connections, the host servers and finally humans, organization process and automation.

Workshop-1 : Decision Support tools for NoT applications

This workshop targets innovative and validated decision support systems in order to improve the exploitation of NoT. It will cover all topics around the innovative strategies to make intelligent decisions through experimental demonstrations.

Workshop-2 : NoT Standards

This workshop aims to present recent protocols around the network of things. It intends to provide a variety of demonstrations through the First internet of things experimental testbed (Fit IOT-LAB).

Call for Papers

The Innov’School Network of Things is an International event devoted to exploring emerging challenges and new concepts related to the network of things, commonly denoted “IoT”. IS-NOT 2018 is a forum to discuss best practices and novel ideas in the standardization, design methods, tools and test applied to network of things. IS-NOT 2018 invites original, unpublished short paper submissions. Short paper submissions should not exceed two pages (including figures, tables, and bibliography) in a standard IEEE two-column format. Authors should clearly explain the significance of the work, highlight novel features and describe its current status. All submissions should be made electronically through the IS-NOT 2018 website. Detailed instructions for submissions are on the website. A submission will be considered as evidence that, upon acceptance, the author(s) will prepare a poster of the paper in time for inclusion in the proceedings, and will present the poster at the conference. The official language of the conference is English. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • IoT prospects, Evolution & Applications
  • Machine Learning
  • E-health Applications
  • Security in IoT
  • Decision Support tools for IoT Applications
  • Big Data and Data Mining

Please note there are a limited number of poster boards available! Your prompt submission is highly recommended. Awards are delivered to the three best rated posters!

Important dates:
Short paper submission deadline (2 pages) : March 30th 2018
Notification of acceptance and registration: April 07th 2018
